When you're a kid, you don't always think about how important it is to stay healthy. But it's also the time in your life that staying healthy is most important! Practicing smart health early in life is key to living a long life. Sometimes, kids are more susceptible to disease than grown-ups, so it's important to do all that you can to remain disease-free!

The greatest thing about being a kid is that there are lots of fun ways to keep healthy! Here's a little secret: your parents are really happy to see you playing all day. Playing means you're doing something, and doing something means you're working your muscles.

On the other hand, sometimes kids don't always love to eat the foods they need to keep them healthy. You're probably thinking of a vegetable you don't like right now. Tough as it may be to hear, veggies are super-important to staying healthy. But there's good news, too! A lot of the foods you do like are just as important! That means bananas, peanut butter, even ice cream!

Pretty cool, right? Well there's more good news. You're probably already doing a lot of things you're supposed to to stay healthy. Let me guess. You brushed your teeth today? Great work! I'm guessing you also took a shower or a bath. Again, congratulations! Hygiene is very important to staying healthy, but it's also easy to do, since nobody likes staying dirty.
